The 42-year-old man who made a second attempt to shoot Osabarima Agyare Tinadu, Chief of Akyem Kade, has been fined GH5,000.
He had already appeared before the Kade Circuit Court on Tuesday.
The perpetrator, Osei Forson Kwadwo, was taken into custody by the police after he opened fire at a cemetery last Saturday in an attempt to drive out the chief and his entourage.
Seth Antwi Bosiako, the municipal chief executive for Kwaebirim, has been discussing the problem with Citi News.
"He was brought before the court and given a charge and fine for firing his rifle carelessly. The security team detained him for yet another offence. The chief himself has made accusations against him, but no charges have been brought against him as of yet. The inquiry into the chief's criminal allegation is still ongoing.
The suspect may have been paid to assassinate the chief in connection with a drawn-out chieftaincy dispute, according to rumours.
